One Drive After Another

Pacific College Corps has hosted an annual underwear drive for several years to support St. Mary’s Community Services, a local nonprofit organization. In 2026, Pacific College Corps hosted its fifth underwear drive at University of the Pacific’s Stockton campus. Pacific College Corps has collected 300+ underwear donations during this event for three consecutive years. The fifth drive hosted by College Corps, surpassed the 300 donation milestone and reached 400+ donations. Shaping this year’s drive into the greatest success out of this collaboration between the two organizations.

The 2026 underwear drive began on August 11th and was originally scheduled to end in September. Due to popular demand, organizers extended the drive through October 9th. A steady and flexible timeline would not be possible without a functioning partnership. St. Mary’s and Pacific collaborate with the College Corps program to support individuals experiencing homelessness. Through this partnership, St. Mary’s has become a primary site for College Corps fellows, and the organizations have worked together to make the underwear drive possible.

St. Mary Community Services operates a homeless shelter in Stockton, California. The organization works to meet the daily needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. Every day, members of the Stockton community help provide healthcare services and meals to an average of 700 individuals. While the shelter provides them with health and hygiene resources, these supplies remain limited. St. Mary’s continues to accept donations and volunteers to help meet the community’s needs.

This year’s drive reached a final total of 708 underwear donations, surpassing the previous average of 300 donations.  Each contribution to the annual underwear drive helps St. Mary’s give essential resources to individuals in need.
