Pacific Tiger Broadcasting Hosts Talent Competition

On Friday, April 19th, Pacific Tiger Broadcasting hosted UOP’s first annual “Pacific’s Got Talent”
competition in the Lair. The talent competition was comprised of musicians, dancers, jugglers,
comedy, and more who vied for the coveted grand prize: tickets to Outside Lands Music
Festival.
To compete in the talent show, contestants posted videos of their talent on Instagram or Twitter
with the hashtag, “#uoptalent” for the chance to perform in the live competition.
According to Camille Khalili, who helped organize the event: “PTB decided to host ‘Pacific’s Got
Talent’ as a way to bring together the Pacific community for a night of laughter and
entertainment to showcase the various hidden talents of UOP students.”
The winners were: in third place, “Erik and Brandon,” a comedy/dance/entertainment duo who
dazzled the judges with a unique performance of Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out For A Hero”; in
second place, Chris Chan, a musician who performed a creative mashup of “Delicate” by Taylor
Swift and “thank u, next” by Ariana Grande; and in first place, singer-songwriter Jennifer
Morrow, who performed an emotional acoustic cover of “Make Me A Robot” by Tessa Violet.
“Pacific’s Got Talent” proved to be a successful and rewarding event, with a large amount of
support from the student body and Stockton community in the audience. Competitors and
spectators alike enjoyed a fun evening of music, entertainment, and community-building.
