Denis Stolyarov: Blonde Hair, Blue Plaid
As a member of the tennis team here at Pacific, like many athletes, Denis Stolyarov ‘16 spends most of his time in official athletic gear. Balancing the life of being a student-athlete calls for little time to get dressed nicely for class and leads to spending full days in sweaty clothes after morning practice.
While the official Nike gear is top of the line, it leaves little room for self expression and creativity. When the time calls, the junior from Moscow Russia is never shy to show his natural taste for fashion and always enjoys pushing the limits of cool.
Stolyarov is known for being laid back and outgoing and has a sense of style to match it. When Stolyarov showed up to his interview with The Pacifican, he was wearing a vibrant royal blue plaid flannel with a more slim-fitting cut, which is typical of Europeans, western Russians and Indo-Europeans in general. To go along with the plaid, Stolyarov rocked his typical slim or skinny jeans, this time being an off-white, cream color. When asked about how he describes his style, Stolyarov replied, “Russian,” paired with a big smile. Stolyarov prefers quality over quantity and tends to spend a few more bucks on his clothing, as his whole outfit from head to toe is from Diesel Industries. Skinny jeans, with a button up is a an easy outfit to throw on that never goes out of style. Match different colored jeans with more subtle button ups for the cooler nights this spring break.
