Tiger Growls: What is your favorite Thanksgiving Memory Tradition

growls“My favorite tradition is that we always have appetizers and dessert at a friend’s house. I don’t have family nearby, so Thanksgiving for us is usually about friendship.”

“My mom’s cranberry chutney is my favorite becayse she invented it, and we have it instead of cranberry sauce, so it makes us unique.”

“Usually, our family comes together to our grandparent’s house, we have lunch together, and do some sort of activity. Then comes dinner, which is a mix between American Thanksgiving food and Asian food.”

“Probably cooking with my family. We all each have our own special thing that we make for dinner.”

“The extended family on my dad’s side gets together for an afternoon of eating, drinking and catching up. After we eat dinner, the head of each family gives a synopsis of what happened during the past year because we only see each other all together on Thanksgiving. My extended family is huge. It’s usually about 70-80 Potuguese people who are loud, over-emotional and hilarious. So, this portion of the day usually takes a significant amount of time, but it’s seriously the best. Definitely the reason I love going home for Thanksgiving.”

“Since we don’t have a huge extended family, we just go out for Chinese.”
