What Homecoming means to… Students
First and foremost, I would like to say welcome to Pacific’s 2013 Homecoming celebration. Our students, staff, alumni and community have been working tirelessly to make sure that this event is one to remember. ASuop has had many of its energies dedicated towards the Homecoming Parade taking place on the Miracle Mile and the Lip Sync Performance taking place on the Klein Family baseball field. The Homecoming Parade consists of over 10 floats built by student groups and organizations. In addition to the floats, there will be a number of clubs and organizations walking in the parade. We are excited to showcase the many creative themes that our students have aligned their floats with. Our very own President Pamela A. Eibeck will also be present in the parade as she experiences her first Pacific Homecoming.
The Lip Sync performances will be a special treat for parents, students, alumni and friends. Groups and organizations have been practicing their dance routines, and they are guaranteed not to disappoint!
On Saturday evening, we look forward to a number of different entertainment options. The Conservatory of Music will be performing a special piece in honor of its 135th anniversary. ASuop will be sponsoring a comedian that is sure to keep his audience entertained.
Overall, we as students of University of the Pacific are ecstatic and ready to show what school spirit is truly about. We are banded together to celebrate what the Pacific family and Pacific experience are.
From myself and the students of Pacific,
Welcome to Homecoming!
